
Closing the Enforcement Gap: Improving Employment Standards Protections for People in Precarious Jobs
This partnership project aims to map the nature and range of employment standards violations, document enforcement policies and practices across occupational and industrial sectors in Ontario.

The study approaches the ES enforcement gap using a multi-method and inter-disciplinary framework. It involves archival research on Ontario’s enforcement practices as well as comparative analysis of enforcement models in other jurisdictions.
The international advisory group is comprised of lead researchers in the study of employment standards and their enforcement based in Australia, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
