In the next CPOW HDR meet-up, PhD candidate Laura McVey will discuss her experience developing publications for your thesis.
Laura is a member of CPOW’s HDR network and PhD candidate in the School of Marketing at RMIT University. Her doctoral research examines the intersection of markets, institutional inequalities and violence against women, specifically through the context of the online pornography industry. Laura has publications in a number of Q1/A ranked journals, including the Journal of Marketing Management and Leisure Sciences. Experience with writing journal articles and book chapters in both lead and co-author roles, Laura has a forthcoming paper in Marketing Letters, as well as book chapters in The Routledge Companion to Marketing and Feminism and The Routledge Companion to Marketing and Society. She also has two journal papers currently under review, and another in development.
CPOW HDR meet-ups are designed to foster community and ongoing collegial support for HDR students affiliated with CPOW. Our aim is to create an informal and conversational space where HDR students are comfortable to explore the topic of focus and ask questions.
