The vertically integrated RMG value chain and its global/local
linkage , starting from the sourcing of raw materials to the
manufacturing and final retailing of readymade garments, is
marred with shadowy practices such as poor working condition,
low wages, limited right to union, the use of child labour, unreliable
building structures and inadequate occupational health and safety
provisions.
